THE LAMPS

Let There Be Light
This is my version
Let me tell you a story. That is totally true and not my fault, even though I was there. OK, so I was moving in with my grandparents, to help them talk care of themselves. Grandpa Powell had just come out of heart surgery and the doctors wanted someone else other than grandma in the house before grandpa could be released. I decided to live with them. We got an apartment in Mesa, AZ. We really needed furniture so Uncle Nial, Marie (my mom) and I went to an action to get a bed, sofa, and some lights.
When we arrived at the auction Nial reminded us that we needed some night lights, grandpa requested some. So we looked for some NICE lamps. NIAL found three lamps that he just adored, my mom and I begged and pleaded and even tried to pull his arm down when the bidding started. Nial won those three lamps for $6.00.
After the lamps were won. Thank you so much Nial.

Marie (my mom) and I decided to wait for some really nice furniture, to make up for the bad taste in the Lamps. So at the action ere able to win and buy a sofa and love seat, and a nice bed for grandma and grandpa. Yeah for us.
Later that night, mom and I took one lamp in at a time, when grandpa saw the lamp he asked “what in the world is that?” We told him “it is your night light he had asked for.” He looked at it in disgust. We put it down on the floor, went back out and got the second one, grandpa went into shock and asked “What an other one. ” We placed the second one down and went out again to the truck and got the third and most ugliest of the three, took it into the apartment and grandpa, I thought grandpa was going to have an other heart attack we he saw it. He laughed so hard. Grandma just sat there in disgust and shock not knowing what to do.
